[SNEC] RBF Play & Special Event January 2011 in Cambridge, MA

Please join the Synergetics Collaborative, American Reperatory Theater,
Foundation for New Directions (FND), and the Museum of Mathematics
(MoMath), in attending a performance of the play "R. Buckminster Fuller:
THE HISTORY (and Mystery) OF THE UNIVERSE" written and directed by
D. W. Jacobs.  After the performance on Saturday afternoon, January
22, you are invited to participate in a collaborative hands-on exhibit
with a special educational program led by George Hart of MoMath.  On the
following day, Sunday Jan 23rd, join us for a day-long seminar/discussion
"Building on the Work of Marvin Solit" at FND, also in Cambridge, MA.

Jan 14 - Feb 5:
     American Reperatory Theater (A.R.T) will present the play
     "R. Buckminster Fuller: THE HISTORY (and Mystery) OF THE UNIVERSE".
     Synergetics Collaborative, MoMath, and FND are organizing an exhibit
     that will be on display throughout the run of the play.

Jan 22, 4:30 PM:
     George Hart of the Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) will lead a special
     human-scale geometry activity with a connection to the geometrical
     work of R. Buckminster Fuller and Dr. Marvin Solit in the West
     Lobby of A.R.T. immediately following the matinee performance of
     the R. Buckminster Fuller play.  A ticket stub from any performance
     of the play will get you into the West Lobby to participate in the

     In addition, the exhibit at the A.R.T., West Lobby will be expanded
     and people from the Synergetics Collaborative, MoMath and FND will
     be on hand to discuss, explain, demonstrate and engage participants
     with the displays some of which will be hands-on.  The Foundation
     for New Directions (FND) exhibits will concern geometry and related
     subjects and artifacts developed by the late Dr. Marvin Solit,
     who was a founding member of the Synergetics Collaborative and FND.

Jan 23, 10AM - 4PM:
     The Foundation for New Directions (FND) will host a seminar and
     discussion "Building on the Work of Marvin Solit".
