The Synergetics Collaborative Announces IRS Approval of 501(c)(3) Status

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Upper Darby, PA - 6 August 2007 - the Synergetics Collaborative (SNEC),
an organization dedicated to bringing together a diverse group of people
with an interest in Buckminster Fuller's Synergetics, announced today
that its application to the IRS for 501(c)(3) status had been approved.

IRS 501(c)(3) status means that tax deductible contributions and
bequests may now be made to the organization by persons, estates, or
business entities who wish to fund programs in support of the Synergetics
Collaborative's goals and objectives, which include face-to-face symposia,
workshops, seminars, and other meetings to educate and support research
and understanding of the many facets of Synergetics, its methods and
principles. It also allows the Synergetics Collaborative to pursue
various grants and other funding available only to non-profits.

The Synergetics Collaborative's next event will be a two-day symposium
on "Synergetics and Morphology: Explorations into the Shapes of
Nature" on November 3rd and 4th at the Rhode Island School of Design
(RISD). The symposium is a team effort with the Philomorphs and The Edna
Lawrence Nature Lab at RISD. The event will continue the Synergetics
Collaborative's efforts to build upon Buckminster Fuller's Synergetics
legacy, and provide an opportunity to discuss and share diverse viewpoints
among the Synergetics community, the Philomorphs, the RISD student and
faculty communities, and other explorers of Form aboard SpaceShip Earth.
